There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to publishing our book. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to join us on our journey.
L. Day is upon us. Launch Day that is. We have been garnering much excitement throughout the Bay of Quinte Region. We have had articles in the County Newspapers, and will be doing live interviews on CBC Ontario Morning with Julianne Hazlewood, and Lynn Pickering of 99.3 County FM.
Authors: Linda Bond, Nell Davidson, Kim Fedor, Donna McDonald, Wendy Russell-Sheppard, Pat Whittaker
Publisher: CIRCLE of SIX
Six new writing voices capture life’s adventures and unexpected revelations through true stories that entertain and resonate. These women record eight decades of narratives with creativity, humor and insight. STORIED is a collection for today’s readers, and the coming ages, as well as inspiration for others to tell, write, and preserve their own memories.
Kim was at the airport bound for B.C., and Wendy was on her boat in Hastings. The rest of us were at home.
We are so excited to hold our books in our hands.
Linda, the hostess with the mostest, makes us martinis.
July 22, 2021. We finally come together again, in-person, at the Burke's Funeral Home meeting room. All double- vaccinated, we have a chance to greet each other with hugs, and to read our new stories aloud. Scarlett, a service dog-in-training, joins us.
Wendy, Linda and Pat are happy to relax after the scrutinizing is done.
While hosting the checkers, Kim also proofed the pages.
Thank you to the eagle-eyed 4. Sorry that Donna and Nell could not join you.
Our manuscript is at the printer's! Cannot wait to see the final proof copy!
We are planning our official book launch early October.
The inspirational door found on our book's cover is being refurbished as of June 2021.
We are informed of this by Graphic Designer, Gary Davidson, who took the original photograph and from it, designed Storied's front cover.
We will be interested to see the final outcome. Still red?
Currently, STORIED is in the printing layout process and we are busy proofreading it page by page, line by line, word by word, comma by comma . . . grateful for the dozen collective eyes on the Zoom screen!
It's a tedious task editing our stories over Zoom, but we see the light at the end of the tunnel.
We will complete this part of the process with our sanity and humour intact!
Hopefully with one more read through, our manuscript can now go to the printer next month, for publication end of June/July?
Meeting during Covid at The County Emporium in Carrying Place. Going over our stories.
We begin the hard work of editing.
